Erica Orloff was born on 23 March, in New York City, United States.
Erica published her first novel, The Big Sleep: True Tales and Twisted Trivia about Death, in 1998. After that, she wrote and published over 20 novels for adults, including Freudian Slip, which was nominated for best contemporary romance of 2009 by Romantic Times. Erica then took to her Russian ancestry to write the middle-grade fantasy trilogy The Magickeepers, under the pen name Erica Kirov. She also writes young adult novels for Penguin, including new release In Dreams. Her adult novels have earned mentions in many publications, such as Cosmopolitan and Us Weekly, as well as being translated into nine languages.
Erica is a frequent contributor of articles, stories, and children’s stories to periodicals. She is also an owner of an editorial consulting business. She currently resides in Virginia with her family and menagerie of pets.
