At the 2012 North American Championships, Wu was the runner-up in women"s singles behind fellow Olympian Lily Zhang. As of 2015 she is a freshman at Princeton University studying computer science.

She was the 2011 and 2012 United States national champion in women"s doubles (with Gao June) and reached the semifinals in women"s singles at the 2011, 2012 and 2013 United States national championships. She was part of the United States team that won the bronze medal at the 2011 Pan American Games.
