Career
In 1999, Kesse founded the University of Florida Digital Library Center as its director continuing his work in preservation through digitization. Under Kesse"s leadership, the Digital Library Center was awarded a number of grants, including grants for the Florida Digital Newspaper Library, the Digital Library of the Caribbean, the Baldwin Library of Historical Children"s Literature Digital Collection, and many others
