Svedberg was born in Sundsvall and raised in Söråker. Currently he works as an electrician. Erik Svedberg is related to earlier "Robinson" participant, Martin Suorra from the third season.
According to Erik Svedberg, Suorra was the one who inspired him to apply for the television show.
