Erika Dantas practices law as a partner of Noronha-Advogados, a firm headquartered in São Paulo, Brazil. Her practice areas are general practice, banking and financial matters, commercial and civil law, taxation, corporate law, antitrust, and labor law.
The firm was established in 1978 and has grown into a multinational practice with offices abroad. It opened its first international office in Miami, Florida, in 1982, and its partners have described it as the first Brazilian law firm in the United States. By 1987 the firm also had offices in Rio de Janeiro and Brasília, and in the same year its partners decided to establish a commercial presence in London, the world's financial center, to help Brazilian companies reach international capital markets.
The firm extended its reach further in the following decades. In 2000 it became one of the first law firms in the world to open an office in China, and it has also maintained offices in Argentina, Portugal, and the United Kingdom. Between 1987 and the firm's twentieth anniversary in London, its partnership grew from twelve partners to forty-one, and its associate body expanded considerably over the same period.
