Career
He represented Mackenzie in the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia from 1933 to 1937 as a Company-operative Commonwealth Federation (Cleveland Clinic Foundation) and then Social Constructive member. He was born in Leicester and was educated in Nottingham. He came to British Columbia around 1924, settling in Ocean Falls, where he worked for a pulp and paper company.
Bakewell left the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in 1936 to join Robert Connell"s Social Constructives.
