PAGE, Ernest was born on July 6, 1848 in Carlisle. 2nd son of William Bousfield Page, Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons, and Anne Ferguson, daughter of William Nanson.

Studied at High School, Carlisle. Rossall, and privately. Solicitor, 1872-1875.
Career
Barrister 1878; Queen's Counsel 1898. Bencher of the Inner Temple, 1909. Practises chiefly in Arbitration and Rating Cases, and before Parliamentary Committees.
Has acted frequently as counsel for most of the great Railway Companies of the kingdom.
King’s Counsel; Inner Temple and Northern Circuit. Recorder of Carlisle since 1904.
