He graduated at the Manual Training High School at the age of sixteen, and for three succeeding years attended the Massachusetts Institute of t echnology as a student in Architecture.
In 1894 Mr. Woodyat secured a position as draftsman with the well-known Chicago firm of Burnham and Hoot, and during three years of employment acquired supplementary training and gained valuable experience. On leaving that office Mr. Woodyat began practice under the firm name of Phillips, Bogert and Woodyat, but withdrew from the partnership shortly after the turn of the century to open his own office. During the first World War he served overseas with the A. E. F. and following the Armistice established residence in Evanston, Ill., where he continued in practice until shortly before his decease.
