Takes a special interest in South African affairs and in the Colonies generally throughout the Empire.
Chairman and Treasurer of Royal Ear Hospital. Acted as Chairman of various Departmental Committees (Home Office). 1st Baronet, cartulary-register 1908.
Founder and Chairman of Hatch, Mansfield and Company. Director Fine Arts and General Insurance Company.
