Ernesto Lupercio, Mexican mathematics professor. Achievements include discovery of virtual orbifold cohomology; discovery of stringy chern classes; research in algebraic topology and mathematical physics. Recipient Presea Lázaro Cardenas award, Institute Politécnico National, 1987, 1991, Young Associate award, TWAS Academy Science Developing World, since 2008; grantee, National Science Foundation, 2001-2004, National Academy of Sciences, 2008.
