Career
In 1947, the Green Bay Packers of the National Football League used the 6th pick in the 1st round of the 1947 NFL Draft to select Case out of the University of California, Los Los Angeles But Case was signed with the Baltimore Colts but only played for one season and then retired. Case served as a pilot in World World War II, surviving a mid-air collision over Sardinia and later escaping his captors.
On November 4, 2011, Case was inducted into the University of California, Los Angeles Athletics Hall of Fame.
