At the 1984 Olympics in Sarajevo, Reiter won a bronze medal with the West German relay team consisting of Peter Angerer, Walter Pichler and Fritz Fischer. Reiter won a silver medal with the West German relay team consisting of Peter Angerer, Stefan Höck and Fritz Fischer.
