Eugeny Matveevich graduated from the Ural Polytechnic Institute (1957), an engineer-metallurgist.

Career

Eugeny Matveevich in 1957-1961 was an engineer, senior engineer of the Uralmashzavod; in 1961-1979 he was the first Secretary of district Committee VLKSM, the first Secretary of Krasnoural'skiy city Committee of the CPSU, head of Department of the Sverdlovsk.

At the Sverdlovsk plant of OCM under his leadership created a site for the production of high-dispersed powders of precious metals and their alloys, developed and mastered in mass production of new brands of devices for the production of glass and fiberglass; solved the problem of providing the defense complex with containerized materials from iridium. He made a lot to preserve gold mining, to create and develop the diamond mining complex.

Achievements

• Laureate of the State Prize of the USSR (1982). Actual member of the Russian Mining Academy (1995), International Academy of Informatization (1998). He is awarded the order of Red Banner (1976), Friendship peoples (1986), "Badge of Honor" (1971) and medals.
