Career
He was chosen in the month of July (Abib) in the year 129 AD during the reign of the Roman Emperor Hadrian. He also took over from Pope Justus as the second Dean of The Catechetical School of Alexandria (also known as the Theological School of Alexandria). During his time he ordained several Bishops for the See of Saint Mark, and he sent them to preach in all the provinces of Egypt, Nubia and to Pentapolis and to spread the good news of the Salvation.
Eumanius remained on the Throne of Alexandria for thirteen years pleasing God and the people and he departed on the 9th of Babah (19 October) in the year 141 AD.
