In this, Evelyn’s second book, the reader is invited to glimpse into her private spiritual search that spans almost nine decades. It’s a journey that began painfully when she, as a child, was denied a mother’s love. That painful rejection led Evelyn to explore and search within herself. It was there where her search for enlightenment was mystically answered. She visited a familiar bookstore in mid-town Manhattan, and it was that day and in that store that she found the step. She recalls: "I put my hand into one of the bookshelves and pulled out a little gold book. It was called The Infinite Way, written by Joel S. Goldsmith. The book opened itself to a page where there were quotations from every Indian master, every mystic that I had studied and had learned so much from. When I saw that Joel Goldsmith had been a Christian Science practitioner for 18 years and had studied all the same people that I had studied, I knew the Infinite had led me to him." Evelyn began an eight year journey in the privacy of her Manhattan study, reading Joel’s every word, listening to the audiotapes delivered regularly from his home in Hawaii. She meditated until they became part of her consciousness. In her ninth year of studying the Infinite Way message she wrote to Joel and asked if he would accept her as a private student. Three weeks later came Joel’s reply wherein he accepted Evelyn as a private student. Today, almost 50 years later, Evelyn states, "Everything I am today, everything I feel, everything I’m blessed with, is because of Joel Goldsmith and The Infinite Way. I’m still with The Infinite Way. I’ll be with it until I pass on. I can’t outgrow it. It’s my message, a message for all time." The co-author; Dr. Ljungholm is the author of three earlier books and several dozen articles published in the USA, Europe, and the CIS. He earned his under and postgraduate degrees at New York’s Fordham University, and his PhD at Moscow State University where he also lectured. His work in establishing education programs among New York City’s homeless, alcoholic rehabilitation programs in Sweden, and counseling government in the formulation of social services programs in Russia and Ukraine, has earned him an international reputation. His work has been featured on all USA national television networks, as well as documentary television specials in Norway, Sweden, Finland, and Great Britain, including a 90 minute tribute, THIS IS YOUR LIFE in his native Sweden.
