Background

Ewald Bargman was born in 1860 in Germany.

Education

He was educated in Architecture and studied Art in France and Italy.

Career

While still a young man, migrated to America. In 1890 he settled in Chicago and for a decade carried on a professional practice. He served as architect to a number of Railroad Companies, including the Rock Island Line, the C. B. & Q., the Missouri Pacific, and the Illinois Central. At the time of his retirement in 1928, he had been with the latter company thirty-five years.
