Whitaker received his early education at Worcester Academy, he went on to receive his Bachelor of Arts from Yale College, in 1898.
Career
After he graduated from Yale, Whitaker went to work for the North Adams Savings Bank, additionally, soon after his graduation he was the Treasurer, and a Director of, the Hoosac Valley Street Railway.
