Career

Professor mathematics and astronomy, 1863-1865, president, 1867-1868, Western College. Adjunct Professor Latin and Greek, State University of Iowa, 1868-1870. Admitted to bar, 1870.

In practice at Toledo, Iowa, 1873-1912. Attorney for Tama Company, 1874-1882. Iowa Supreme Court reporter, 1882-1890.

Editor Iowa Code of 1897, by unanimous vote of Legislature. Member Iowa State Board of Law Examiners, 1901-1912.
