He played his University football at. In 2000, he played in all eight games during his freshman season. In 2001, he played in seven games during the regular season.
Filice was also named Second Team OUA All-Star.
In 2002, he played in all eight games during the regular season and was a First Team OUA All-Star. In 2003, he played in all eight games during the regular season and was named Second Team All-Canadian and First Team OUA All-Star.
He anchored an offensive line that provided the protection for two OUA All-Star running backs in Kyle Pyear and Jesse Lumsden. McMaster rushed for 2,807, the highest single season total in OUA history.
In 2004, he started all eight games at offensive tackle.
He was named both a first team All-Canadian and First Team OUA All-Star. He helped anchor an offensive line that generated a nation-leading 2,555 rushing yards, the second most in OUA history.
Was a member of four straight Yates Cup Championship teams.
