Background
Kwizera was born in Bujumbura, Burundi. His father was Amiel Mavuma who died in 1994 during the Burundian Civil War that broke out in Burundi due to the ethnic conflicts and his mother is Mississippi Léa Kubwimana.

Kwizera began his studies at Cibitoke II Primary School but moved to Kenya with his family as a refugee in 2002, having spent time living in Uganda. He moved back in Bujumbura in 2007, where he continued his secondary studies at Municipal Lycee of Cibitoke, later transferring to Lake Tanganyika Lycee where he got his first graduate in the faculty of cinematography. He currently speaks both English and French.
Kwizera next appeared in the 2010 film Viva Riva as Jason.
Fabrice was nominated as Best Young Actor for this role.
