Faquir Chand graduated from Punjab University,obtaining in M.A. in 1934, Ph.D. in 1942, D.Sc. in 1946. While studying, he'd done research on statistical mechanics and magneto hydro dynamics.
Career
Faquir started his career as a lecturer at Punjab University in 1936. From 1942-1948 he was a Lecturer at Delhi University, then at that university he worked as a reader in physics. And since 1955 he was a professor of physics at Delhi University.
