Quotations:
“People tell me that the book is very visual, that they see the novel and that they have their own strong images of various scenes. Perhaps because I’ve produced a lot of audiovisual presentations, certain scriptwriting techniques may have carried over into the book. It’s not anything I can definitively point to; I think it’s more a matter of interpretation."
“Through my work as a journalist, I’ve had the opportunity to write business articles for various publications, profiling large as well as small companies. As a result, I’ve become very aware of business-related issues involving management, personnel, and office politics. This helped tremendously when I was formulating dialogue about the advantages and pitfalls of working in a major corporation, and it served as a reference to the problems that Builder faced as a struggling entrepreneur.”
