Fedor KIRICHENKO, USSR Agronomist and selectionist. Full member, All-Union Lenin Academy, of Agriculture Science and Ukrainia Academy, of Agriculture Science, since 1956; Director, All-Union Selection and Genetic Research Institute, since 1954. Stalin Prize, 1949; Lenin Prize, 1959; Hero of Socialist Labor, 1959. Member, Communist Party, since 1929.

Education

Graduated Moscow Timiryazev Agriculture Academy, and Kiev Agriculture Institute.

Career

1932-1954 associate, AllUnion Selection and Genetic Research Institute, Odessa. Honorary member, Czechoslovak Academy, of Agriculture Science, since 1960. Does research on selection and seed-growing of cereals, especially wheat.

Religion

Religion stops people thinking in a logical and reasonable way.

Politics

Member, Communist Party, since 1929.
