MODOROV, Fedor was born in 1890 in Mstera, now Vladimir Oblast.
Studied in Mstera, his native town, from 1900- OS, then at the Kazan’ Art School, 1910-1914, under N.Feshin. Pupil of V. Makovskii at the Petersburg Academy of Arts, 1914-1918.
Since 1920's member, Association, of Artists of Revolutionary Russia. Member, Organization Committee, USSR Union of Painters. 1918-1919 Chairman, Mstera Soviet of Workers’, Peasants’ and Red Army Deputy.
In 1930's chief consultant, Art. Affairs Committee, Belarusian Council of Ministers. Instructor, advanced courses for Minsk painters.
