Previously she served as Vice-President of National Palace Museum. She is also the director general of Chinese Association of Museums. She is a researcher of the Mongolian and Tibetan Affairs Commission.
She is an expert on the history of Qing Dynasty and Zang Studies.
Feng Ming-chu was born in Tiu Keng Leng of British Hong Kong in 1950, with her ancestral home in Huangpi District of Hubei. In 1974 she was accepted to National Taiwan University, studying history under Li Shouli.
After graduation, she began working in National Palace Museum in 1978 and had worked there ever since, rising up through the ranks to serve as its Vice-President from May 2008 to September 2012, then she replaces Chou Kung-shin to became its President.
