Career
He served as mayor of Garadna between 1990 and 1998. He also functioned as president of the General Assembly of Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén County twice: from 1998 to 2002 and between 2006 and 2010. In the general election held in 2006, he was elected Member of Parliament for Encs for the third time.
He was re-elected individual Member of Parliament during the 2010 parliamentary election.
