Secretary of the committee for the Historical, Geographical, and Ethnological Dictionary of Brazil, 1918-1921. Director of the Ruy Barbosa Institution (Casa Ruy Barbosa), 1927-1931. Executive secretary of the Brazilian Academy of Letters since 1924.
