Educated in Norway; also student Art Students League, New New York Pupil of Doctorate. O. French and Saint Gaudens. Studied under Ernest Barrias at Ecole des Beaux Arts, Paris.
Came to the United States, 1885, naturalized, 1899. Director of sculpture Alaska-Yukon-Pacific Exposition, 1909-1911. Official sculptor Pan-American Exposition, 1913.
Instructor Art and Crafts School, University of California, 1917-1918.
Founded Plastic Arts Department, Fairfax High School, Hollywood, 1926. Conductor of Frolich School of Sculpture, Hollywood, since 1928.
