Student Furman U., Greenville, and University of Michigan. Bachelor of Laws, Columbian (now George Washington University, 1902.

Career

Admitted to South Carolina. bar, 1902, and began practice at Greenville. Entered banking business as secretary-treasurer Piedmont Savings & Investment Company, Greenville, became president, 1914 (absorbed by 1st National Bank). Vice president 1st National Bank, 1916, president from 1946, retired as president, later Chairman of the Board.
