Began to write at the suggestion of the present Duke of Argyll. Has contributed to the leading English, American, and Australian magazines, reviews, and newspapers. Became correspondent for the Queenslander, 1901.
Weekly contributor to the Westminster Gazette since 1903. After a year on the Review of Reviews with Mr. Stead, went out to Morocco in 1906, and rode to Fez for the Daily Mail after the country had risen against the Sultan.
Went out in 1907 to San Francisco, and wrote a series of articles for the Westminster ou the Graft Scandals.
Spouse 1891, Howard Douglas, 2nd s. of that Captain Howard Douglas Campbell who was killed at the gates of Cawnpore in the Mutiny.
