Francesco Andrevi was born November 16, 1786, in Sanauj, Spain. From 1845-1849 he lived in Paris and was then called to Barcelona as maestro of the church of Our Lady of Mercy.

He was music-director at the cathedrals of Valencia, Sevilla, and other Spanish cities, also at Bordeaux from 1832-1842, during the Carlist wars.
