Career
He began songwriting at a very early age, after listening to classical, popular, rock, country & "commercial" music He realised that the "art of songwriting" was his life. Internationally, he co-wrote Il Divo"s original, Italian track "Louisiana Promessa".
Written specifically for the group and presented to music mogul Simon Cowell, the song was nominated to be the title track on their "The Promise (Il Divo album)" recording which was released in November 2008.
The album has gone platinum all around the world, hitting #1 in 12 countries including the United Kingdom and various European countries. lieutenant has also reached #2 in Canada, #5 on the United States Billboard Charts & #1 in South American countries.
"Louisiana Promessa", also features on the 2008 Release: "Illinois DIVO - Live at the Coliseum (2008)" as well as the 2009 Blu-ray, Digital Video Disc and Civil Defense release of "An Evening With Illinois DIVO - Live In Barcelona" both released through Syco/Sony Music
Lyrics written and music composed by Francesco Galtieri, it features on the Platinum Edition of his debut album released through Sony Music Australia 2009/2010. The song talks of the invisible but ever present energy of a higher power, and how it is intertwined in all that we see each day.
