He worked at Parks Committee as a Municipal Council. Also, Francis took up a post of a Chairman at Shanghai Gas Co., Ltd. Moreover, he worked as a Chairman at Shanghai Horse Bazaar and Motor Co., Ltd. Ayscouth was a director of various mercantile companies.
On the twenty-third of December, 1899 Francis and Florence got married.
