During a short period (1880-84) he was associated in partnership with John C. Stevens under the firm name of Fassett & Stevens, and in later years after the turn of the century his son, Edward Fassett (d. 1924), collaborated on a number of the firm’s works, one of which was the Sacred Heart Church on Mullen Street, completed in 1903. Among older buildings in the city credited to Mr. Fassett are the Woodford Congregational Church and parish house, 1879; original building of the General Hospital, 1874; Society of Natural History Building, 1879, and the Public Library. He also designed the pedestal of the Longfellow Monument.
