Admitted to Nebraska bar, 1884, and practiced at North Loup, Albion and Blair, Nebraska. Settled in Omaha, 1900. United States district attorney, District of Nebraska, 1910-1915.

Member Smith, Schall, Howell & Sheehan, 1916-1928. Judge Supreme Court of Nebraska, January 3, 1928-January 3, 1929. Member Howell, Tunison & Joyner, since 1929.
