CORNISH, Francis Warre was born on May 8, 1839. Son of Reverend H. K. Cornish, Fellow of Exeter College Oxford, Vicar of Bakewell, and Louisa, daughter of Reverend F. Warre, Doctor of Civil Law, Rector of Cheddon Fitzpaine, Somerset, and Hemyock, Devon.
Studied at Foundation, Eton College. King’s College Camb; Master of Arts.
Battie University Scholarship. 3rd in 1st class of Classical Tripos, 1861. Assist, master at Eton College, 1861-1893. ViceProvost of Eton College; formerly Fellow of King’s College Cambridge.
