Previously he worked as a librarian at the Municipal Library of Montreal (1948-1952), as chief librarian for the Canadian Institute of Quebec (1953-1960) and as an assistant director for Quebec's Public Library Services (1960-1975). His photographic images are of street life, old houses, landscapes and children.
