After emerging through the youth ranks at Grasshopper, he joined Lecce in the summer of 2008. The Serie A club United States. Lecce has the Swiss U-21 national team player loaned out until the end of the 2008/2009 season at Air Corps Bellinzona. He played for the Switzerland national under-21 football team, since 2007.
On 2 September 2011 Frank made the starting line-up for The Venezuelan National Team in a friendly match against Argentina in India.
