He was educated in Denver and after completing an architectural course ot study at Colorado State University.
Beginning practice he joined Frank Mountjoy in a partnership which was maintained until 1929; for six subsequent years he worked alone, then for a period ot two years (1935-37) prior to his death was associated with Earl C. Morris (Frewen and Morris) with an office in the Midland Savings Bank.
During his early practice Mr. Frewen was widely known as the architect of numerous buildings, more than eighty in Colorado and Wyoming alone of which notable examples were High Schools at Boulder, Idaho Springs and Englewood, Colo., and buildings at the Western State College, Gunnison, Colo Among other works he designed the Guldman Building in Denver, and several public structures such as the Loyola Church; and the Nurses' Home at St. Luke s Hospital, Denver.
Mr. Frewen was elected to the Colorado Chapter, A.l.A. in 1921, and at the time of his death was serving as President. He was also a long time member, chosen successively as Secretary and President of the State Board of Architectural Examiners.
