(Gabriel Black is sentenced to prison for a murder he did ...)
Gabriel Black is sentenced to prison for a murder he did not commit. In a twisted expression of honor, he takes responsibility for the action of a woman he loves and plays with his freedom. Black stumbles upon a "proof" of God, one involving the solving of somebody's cancer. He decides a better "proof" of God would be to verify His existence in a place like a prison he's in -disgusting, violent, hopeless. Gabriel creates a file where he stores any evidence of the divine he comes across no matter how unseemly. In brutal, honest language, The God File recounts the dark comedy of one man's search for meaning.

Early, the unflinching and inviting narrator of The Wait, takes us along on a personal journey - from family dramas to lost loves, from failed ambitions to the challenges of an aging body - all the while tracing the steps of his unique, though common, experience. Without agenda, Early shares both the darkest parts of himself and life’s brightest, most fleeting moments.

(Two billion people on Earth call themselves Christians. A...)
Two billion people on Earth call themselves Christians. A foundation belief among Christians is that Jesus, the Son of God, will again appear in bodily form amongst us. If He returned in this age of consumption, technology, and self-indulgence, what would Jesus need to do to get our attention? What could he do to draw our focus away from reality TV, the internet, and another trip to the shopping mall? That is precisely Jesus s challenge in this remarkable new novel, Hollon's ninth. After months of being dismissed as another mentally ill street-preacher who is ridiculed, arrested, and ignored, Jesus robs a bank and ends up on the front page of The New York Times as the Jesus-Bandit.

Frank Turner Hollon was born on July 24th, 1963, in Huntsville, Alabama, United States. Although born in Alabama, Hollon soon became a Louisiana native when he moved to Slidell, Louisiana when he was 5 years old.
Frank Hollon attended Slidell High School and graduated in 1981. He went to Louisiana Tech University, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude in 1985 with a Bachelor of Science degree. He never really wanted to be a lawyer, but he opted for law school when offered a scholarship, rather than having a full-time job. Always a free spirit, he even showed up at law school barefooted. He obtained his Juris Doctor from Tulane Law School in 1988. Hollon began writing at an early age, usually composing short stories and poetry. He wrote his first book, The Pains of April, in the 1980s, while still in law school. Only a few friends and family read his manuscript while the book sat under his bed for 12 years.
Frank Hollon is an attorney, who has devoted 90 percent of his practice to litigation. His area of practice is focused on divorce and separation, adoption, family law, and criminal defense. He served as a municipal judge for the City of Gulf Shore and a Baldwin family law attorney. He was a chief assistant at the Baldwin District Attorney's office in 1991-1994.
Hollon is also a published writer. He has established a wide variety of readers, with dark, psychological suspenseful novels, to children's books, to short stories. Each book seems to be a response to the previous one. Hollon creates intriguing and dynamic characters. From dysfunctional "mercy killers" to lawyers and psychiatrists. His book, The Pains of April is narrated by an eighty-seven-year-old man who lives in a nursing home. As he thinks about the past and the position he is in now, he tells stories of events that have happened in his lifetime. The man is terribly afraid of being left in the dining room all alone and hates being in the nursing home. In The God File: A Novel, Gabriel Black takes the blame for his girlfriend when she shoots and kills her husband. He never hears from her again after he is sentenced to life in prison without parole. While in prison he searches for God and works on his "God" file, in which he collects information on occurrences in the jail, stories, and quotes that relate to God. With his God file, he hopes to prove whether God exists. Another one of Hollon's books, Life is a Strange Place, is set in New Orleans. This book is currently being made into a movie, called Barry Munday. Hollon has said that Walker Percy, a prestigious Southern author and one of Hollon's favorite authors, has influenced and greatly affected his writings. Hollon read Percy's books in New Orleans, and many Walker Percy quotes can be found throughout Hollon's novels. The book Blood and Circumstance challenges the reader to evaluate their own beliefs and keeps the reader interested. Strong opinions are voiced in many of the books about subjects like religion and legal matters, but usually, they are not Hollon's beliefs. He says that he writes through the eyes of his characters, thus investigating opinions that are not really his own.
