Klepetko, Frank was born in 1856 in Bohemia, Austria. Son of James and Antonie (Bleha) Klepetko.

Career

Began as engineer and bookkeeper, Delaware and Conglomerate mining companies, Michigan, 1880. Engineer various companies until 1889. Superintendent smelting department, Tamarack Osceola Copper Manufacturing Company, 1890-1891.

Superintendent smelting department, Boston & Montana Copper Company, Montana, 1891-1896. Manager same company, and also of Butte & Boston Copper Company, 1896-1902. Manager smelting plant, Anaconda Copper Company, Montana, 1900-1902.

Built smelting plant of Highland Boy Mining Company (Utah), Anaconda Copper Company, Cerrode Pasco Mining Company (Peru, S.A.), Michigan Smelting Company. Has spent large part of time since 1906 in Peru, investigating mining properties.
