Entered Guy’s, 1869; House Surgeon, 1874. Liverpool Royal Infirmary, 1875. Surgeon, Stanley and Royal Southern Hospitals, 187S-91.
Since Royal Infirmary, Teaching appointments at Medical School: Demonstrator of Physiology, Pathologist, Lecturer in Dental Anatomy, Lecturer and later Professor in Medical Jurisprudence since 1878. For seven years Dean of the Medical Faculty. Member of various societies: President Liverpool Medical Institution, British Medical Association, Pathological and Clinical Societies of London, etc.
Professor Emeritus, Liverpool University. Ch.M. Liverpool, Surgeon to Liverpool Royal Infirmary.
