Background

Grey, Frank Herbert was born on November 15, 1883 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States. Son of Elmer Herbert and Bertha Alice (Dann) Grey.

Education

Student Harvard, 4 years (non-graduate). While at Harvard University studied harmony, counterpoint, canon and fugue with Professor W. Spaulding, orchestration with Professor J. K. Paine, and free composition with Frederick Converse. Studied piano with Charles Dennee at N.E. Conservatory.

Career

Conductor light opera since 1909. Musical conductor for Joe Weber’s “Honey Dew” Company, New York, also for Shubert production, “Blossom Time”. President New Dawn Music Corporation, music publishers.
