Instructor in Latin and Greek, Oahu College, Honolulu, 1876-1878. Ordained Congregational ministry, 1880. Pastor in North.E., 1880-1895.

Associate editor and editor, Education, 1891-1931.

Organizer, 1901, and president The Palmer Company, educational publishers. Honorary member American Board of Commissioners for Foreign Missions Progressive.
