Graduate with highest honors, N.E. Conservatory of Music 1907. Studied piano in Paris with Isidor Philipp, Raoul Pugno and Andre Wormser, composition with Andre Gedalge.

Career

1 son, William Chipman World War II Debut as pianist with Boston Orchestral Club, 1910. Soloist Boston Symphony Orchestra, 1921. Guest conductor same, 1923.

Conductor People’s Symphony Orchestra, 1919-1927. Professor piano playing and lecturer on history of music N.E. Conserv. of Music, also for department of education of Massachusetts. Assistant professor College of Music, Boston University Officier d’Academie, 1922, and Officier de l’Instruction Publique, 1929 (both of France).
