Admitted to Pennsylvania bar, 1882, New Jersey bar, 1897, counsellor, 1900. Member New Jersey legislature, 1896-1897. Prosecutor of pleas, Camden County, New Jersey, 1899-1906.

Judge Circuit Court of New Jersey, 1906-1924. Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of New Jersey, 1924-1938. Now member Starr, Summerill & Lloyd, Camden, New Jersey President Camden County library association.
