Made surveys for the first steam railroad in Salvador, Central America, and helped to build same.
Chief engineer for the Dutch contractors for excavating the Culebra Cut, Panama Canal, also for American Contracting & Dredging Company, at Colon, Panama Canal, 1885, 86, during the time of Ferdinand de Lesseps. Returned to the United States, 1886, and engaged in general contracting, building waterworks and sewerage systems
Contractor since 1901 for underground conduit systems for Edison Electric Illuminating Company, of Boston, Fall River Electric Light Company, Cambridge Electric Light Company, and New Bedford Electric Light Company.
