He competed at the 1952 Summer Olympics and 1956 Summer Olympics.
Achievements
He won a gold medal in the C-1 10000 m event at the 1948 Summer Olympics in London Born in Branice, P�sek District, he also won a silver medal at the 1954 ICF Canoe Sprint World Championships in M�con in the C-1 10000 m event.
