He was born in the Putilkovichy village in Uschachy region.
He graduated from Minsk Gymnasium (1881) and Warsaw University (1887).
He was rewarded with a gold medal in 1886 for research work on traditional medicine. He conducted archeological excavations in the territory of modern Uschachy region, explored ancient settlements. Also he found many items of ancient material culture. F. Veren’ko found 9 ancient settlements of the Iron Age and about 50 groups of mounds of Early feudal century and explored 50 mounds near the Putilkavichy village in 1887-1897. He made The Archeological Map of around villages (including 55 monuments). He thoroughly studied the national way of life. F. Veren’ko is the author of the book “The People’s Medeicine” (1896), the materials for which he collected in the noethern part of Borisov region and the western part of Lepel region. The collection is the
largest corpus of sorcery, believes, superstitions, prejudices which are connected with the human diseases, and the means of popular medicine at that time.
