Career
On 9 November 2007 Department for Environment Food & Rural Affairs announced that Debby Reynolds had opted to take early retirement at age 55, and that Landeg, who was working as the Deputy Commander of the Royal Victorian Order, would take over as acting Commander of the Royal Victorian Order temporarily. On 16 November, he was promoted to the role officially. He was appointed Commander of the Order of the British Empire (Commander of the Order of the British Empire) in the 2008 Birthday Honours.
Born in 1948 and educated at Sir Walter Saint John"s School and the Royal Veterinary College, he retired from the post in April 2008.
